Maine Seasons Events Vibrant Maine Barn Wedding on Style Me Pretty

Hooray! Some of our dearest clients have their wedding featured today on Style Me Pretty.  Cristin and John were married on the hottest day of the Maine summer, and they kept a positive and happy attitude throughout, what gems to work with!

Cristin's bouquet was one of my favorites-created by Judy of Flora Fauna and captured perfectly by Emilie, Inc. photography.

Maine Seasons Events design for March Flanagan's Table Grace Restaurant Dinner

For the March dinner at Flanagan's Table, the inspiration came from stained glass.  Grace restaurant is housed in a restored antique church in Portland, Maine and the interior gave us guidance for the table design.  Brea McDonald took the beautiful photos.  We are honored to be able to participate in this event, and look forward to the challenge of coming up with new designs for the monthly dinners.
We made a printed burlap table runner that echoed the shape of the windows in the restaurant, and used our assortment of stained glass inspired metal candle lanterns and diffused hurricanes for the candle light.

Overhead, we installed a constellation of illuminated star lanterns that came to life once the sun went down.  The patterns on the lanterns reminded me of stained glass and in the colors of the windows in Grace itself.

Hanging overhead we installed a mix of stained glass and Moroccan inspired lanterns with flickering candles.

I love this simple and beautiful shot of the drinking water vessels on the marble bar...

Guests are seated at a 44 foot long barn wood table for dinner.

A few of my favorite photos of the evening: the glow of the lanterns, flickering candles and illuminated happy guest faces.

Earth Dinner at Flanagan's Table

Flanagan's Table hosted the team from Earth restaurant, and we created a Maine woods inspired design that included elements of branches, moss, succulents, fire and water.  Photos by Heidi of Brea McDonald Photography.

We installed lit grapevine orbs over the table in a constellation and piece by piece, created a canopy of foraged tree branches over the orbs.  I wanted it to feel like you were outside, inside.  Chris painstakingly stood on a ladder, installing each branch, while I gave visual direction from below, all told, it took 30 hours of installation and foraging.

Layered terrariums of sand, peat and pebbles held assorted green succulents and floating candles atop ferns with over 100 candles on the table represented the earth with elements of fire, plants and water.  We created a herringbone table runner that represented wood bark, over Flanagan's Table's signature nubby linen runner.

I love the action shots in the kitchen, as much artistry, passion and skill goes into creating food as it does to create an event design. (if not more!)  I always feel privileged to watch experts in creative fields doing their work.

This tattoo might just be the best I have seen, perfect!

A branchy, woodland, earthy setting for a beautiful dinner.
The next dinner is coming soon, stay tuned!
